R1200GS bobs

R1200GS near Tollard Royal, Wilts
Following a 3,000 mile trip through the Alps on my BMW F800GS I was invited by BMW Motorrad Park Lane to test ride the new liquid cooled R1200GS. I knew this was a bad idea as a week later my order was placed for a TE (touring edition) version with the 2014 updates which included a new steering damper.

This bike’s power and comfort are on a different level to any other bike I’ve ridden to date. Also, this model retains its value rather well, making lease payments low considering its not-inexpensive on the road price.

Because this bike was purchased with longer trips in mind, I kept the extras to a minimum outside the BMW parts catalogue.
